Yesterday's edited and shorter recording when it was quite windy. Even with a wind sock over the mics i wasn't able to cut out the wind but hope this is an acceptable edit after going over the recording and taking out the worst bits.

I record the wind blowing under a métal security door. It was inside a theatre. I was with my hand recorder nagra lino. Strange ambiance.

The eerily quiet soundscape of a small midwestern town during the covid-19 shutdown. . . This was recorded in town, on a friday night (april 3rd, 2020) at a time when there is almost always more traffic, people and families walking and talking on the sidewalks. . This recording started at 11pm at night. . . What a strange, weird eerie feeling of this track. You will hear a lot of steady wind gusts, dry leaves being moved around by the strong southerly flow. . Equipment: sony pcm-m10 recorder sitting on a small tripod about 3 inches from the ground. . . I decided to bring my wind chimes inside and recorded them with an mxl 910 microphone into my computer using a focusrite scarlett 18i20 interface with the gain turned up a bit. I then chopped 15 samples i liked from the entire recording and formatted them into a make noise morphagene reel containing 15 splices. I am very pleased with the results, especially when patched into clouds or using an eventide space pedal for example. Enjoy!.

Your stereotypical wind chime sound effect. Used a lot for transitions into dream sequences and flashbacks in movies and films. I took a very fast recording of someone hitting some orchestral chimes, slowed it down by over 200% and added some harmonic excitement and equalization in post production.
